oh i understand this film so bad .. the directing the shots, everything .. also what is it with characters exploiting themselves / being loved for their looks and stabbing out their eyes (see; helter skelter). watching this film is like watching some philosophy novel from the 1700s.
there are so many themes present here !! exploitation of women, the underground queer community in the 70s, the lost youth, and even more that i haven’t caught up on yet. i need to rewatch this so many times to catch everything
this was released in 1969 and still feels more controversial / raw with its messages and scenes than whatever i’ve seen right now. i love it

very very beautiful movie. slice of life mixed with feelings of solitude and loneliness. cried two times. the cinematography along with the characters and the meaning .. the beautiful quotes .. such a heartfelt movie. so very nice
