"Earth Defense Girl Iko-chan" (or "Iko the Earth Patrol Girl") is an original work directed by Minoru Kawasaki. It is a cross-media franchise and consists of a film, a PC-98 videogame and a manga. First film, 1987. The story follows the main character, Iko Kawai , a junior high school student who received a super income, a tool that "can grant any wish that you think is right" from Moroken, a student at Space University. She will become the defender of the Earth and has to protect the planet against the threat of alien monsters and other dangerous threats.
Second film. "Luna's secret", 1988. Iko Kawai, who has decided to go to space high school, entrusts a super income to Iko Sugekawa, a junior in the junior high school club. Entrusted with income, Sugagawa trains and joins the LTDT. That is, until Luna Hakuba, an elite soldier from Australia who was assigned with her, stands in her way as a rival. In 2000, the DVD "Earth Defense Girl Iko-chan Complete DVD" containing the three works so far was released. |
Third film. "Great Edo Operation", 1990. Iko Sugagawa, who has traveled back in time to the Edo period, fights with the beautiful girl Oiko (Iko's ancestor) to defeat the ambitions of Gennai Hiraga (a Chonmage-type alien possessed by him), who plans to rule Edo. |
